Dev Randhawa has reacted to a recent positive ranking awarded to the Patterson Lake South (PLS) project in the Athabasca Basin as the “number one undeveloped uranium project in the world.”
A positive indication
The decision came after the Mining Journal’s recent evaluations of promising uranium projects not yet developed and subsequent rankings based on criteria including resource quality, grade, location and anticipated costs.
In reaction to PLS’s place at the number one spot of these projects, Dev Randhawa commented:
“We are delighted at this latest recognition of the quality and ongoing blue sky potential of our PLS project in Canada’s Athabasca Basin. The Mining Journal is one of the most respected publications in the industry and it’s testament to what our Management and technical team has achieved at PLS that they have ranked us as the top undeveloped uranium project in the world.
With nuclear reactor numbers growing steadily, the uranium sector will reach a point at which new production will be needed urgently. As a result, Fission will continue to explore and expand the PLS project as we position ourselves for this upturn.”
More about PLS
The 31,039 hectare PLS project is 100% owned and operated by Fission Uranium Corp.
Patterson Lake South is accessible by road with primary access from all-weather Highway 955, which runs north to the former Cluff Lake mine and passes through the nearby UEX-Areva Shea Creek discoveries located 50km to the north, currently under active exploration and development.
